About the Client
Army Training Centre (ATC) Pirbright is located approximately 30 miles west of London, near Aldershot and Guildford. The centre delivers the 13-week Common Military Syllabus Future Soldier (CMS FS) programme, designed to develop essential military skills, build mental and physical resilience, and instil the Army’s core values and standards.
In 2024, ATC Pirbright introduced its new Soldier Academy as part of its ongoing modernisation efforts, preparing soldiers for increasingly technology-driven environments. A key feature of this development is a 52-seater cinema hall, designed as a multi-purpose space to support both cinematic presentations and training sessions with advanced audio-visual capabilities.

For the 52-seater cinema hall, Akhter installed a 4m wide × 2m high 500 Series LED video wall, delivering a striking 176-inch diagonal display. With a fine 1.95mm pixel pitch, the screen provides exceptional clarity and detail, ensuring an immersive visual experience for both training and presentations.
This installation reflects ATC Pirbright’s commitment to blending tradition with innovation, equipping recruits with the tools needed for modern, technology-driven military operations.
The cinema hall is equipped with a state-of-the-art 7.1 Dolby surround sound system, delivering rich, immersive audio that enhances both cinematic viewing and training sessions. The system ensures clear, high-quality sound for instructional videos, presentations, and large-group briefings.
The LED video wall supports three dedicated movie input sources: 4K Blu-ray media player, Apple TV, and Google TV, as well as a convenient input faceplate (HDMI and USB-C) for in-room presentations. Users can easily control, switch, and preview all inputs via the control room panel, ensuring seamless operation and a polished viewing experience.
