Our directors and CEO

Professor Humayun Mughal

Director

A graduate in Electronics from Liverpool University, Prof. Mughal founded Akhter in 1979. With a background in research engineering at ITT Components Group, he has led Akhter’s strategic direction for over four decades, positioning the company as an early adopter of emerging technologies and advanced IT services.

Alan Laffoley

Chief Executive Officer

Alan joined Akhter in 1983 after 12 years at STC Electronics Services as Senior Research Engineer. A board member and Prince2-certified project manager, he leads technical development and oversees major product initiatives and strategic projects.

Latifa Hamdan

Sales Director

Latifa brings over 25 years’ experience across PC, server, and audio-visual markets within education and corporate sectors. Her deep understanding of customer requirements ensures strategic, solution-driven engagement across Akhter’s client base.
